For as long as I can remember I’ve loved getting lost in book and as a child library visits were a highlight of my week. At aged ten I wrote a book, all about my first love - horses. It was fully illustrated even though I couldn't draw and the writing wasn't up to much either.
Although I grew up in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, I dreamed of city life so at eighteen moved to London to go to university. I wanted to do an English degree but times were hard so decided to do a practical course in hospitality where I worked for several years. This industry now features in my books.
I loved city life but after nine years, home pulled me back and I settled in Chester where I met my husband and had two children, both boys.
Throughout a series of often dull jobs, I began to dream of becoming a writer. I wrote short stories, several of which were published in women's magazines but writing a novel was my real ambition.
After a health scare in 2018 I decided it was time to concentrate on getting published and in 2023 Things They Never Said was accepted by Choc Lit, part of Joffe and my second book First Impressions was published in August 2024. My third book Things We Need to Say was published in August 2025. If you want to find out more about my day to day writing life, please follow my blog.
